Sorry for the hiatus, friends, life has been a wild ride this year. Back in the end of January, after talking with our parents, Dan and I decided we would start looking for a house to buy. The house we have been renting for the last 7 years, although so lovely and cozy, had become too small for us, and the rental management company that we were renting from was awful, so it made the idea of buying even more enticing. We met with a realtor I have been in touch with over the years and talked about what we wanted in a home, price range, neighborhoods we like, all the things that go into buying a house, and he put together a portal for us to start checking things out. Our goal was to hopefully find something by the summer, but ended up finding something much sooner than that. I’ll try and figure out how to post a little walk-through video of the interior of the home we bought, although it’ll be staged with the seller’s things (until we are all settled and I can update with it full of our stuff). We closed escrow in mid-March and have been working very hard at getting settled, and are finally feeling like we’ve made enough progress to get back to our normal routine.
So, all that said, I know I had posted about getting in to the blogging routine AGES ago and then didn’t follow through as I had hoped, even if there were valid reasons I fell behind. I’m picking up where I last left off and will be better at getting things up here to share with you. I’ll be taking photos of my WIPs this weekend and will start with a roundup of those, and we’ll go from there. I’ve got a lot I want to talk about, and would really love to know what you have going on this summer. Craft projects, vacations, books you’re reading, whatever is bringing you joy, I’d love to share in it with you!
