I’ve blocked the yoke of the steek project and it is really looking good. I have one more colorwork chart to do and then should be splitting for sleeves. I’m going to put a lifeline in after the last chart (I think the last chart is about 10 rounds) before I split for sleeves so that once I have a little bit of the body done I can give it a try-on and make sure that the yoke depth feels right, and if not I can rip back to the lifeline and add a bit more length to the yoke before splitting for the sleeves.

It’s amazing how a wash and block really makes the top feel more finished. It lays so nice and flat here, and I love how the Spincycle especially has filled out a bit. So hopefully I’ll have the last section of the colorwork done today, or tomorrow at the latest.
I’ve also finished making more of my stitch marker sets for my Etsy shop.

I feel like this photo doesn’t do justice to the hand painted acrylic leaf, as the pale gold and rose gold flecks can’t be seen well in a still photo, so I added a little video of them moving on the Etsy listing for them. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to get more of the pale pink glass beads, so after the sets of these I have already made and listed sell, the set will be different going forward. I also was contacted by a customer asking if I’ll ever do similar sets but with a different colored leaf and I thought that was a nice idea, so I’ll be making those at some point too, and I’ll take photos for a future blog post.
Lately I’ve been also working on a test knit for a designer who reached out to me. It’s going to be a four-color shawl in DK weight yarn and they hope to release the pattern in October. I’ve been working on it for about a week now and the pattern has undergone a few changes in just that time, but it seems to be coming along nicely. I’ll make sure to post progress photos when I’m given permission to do so, the colors I chose are looking great with each other.
Thant’s all for now, I hope everyone is having a nice Monday!

You know you’ll have to cut that steek at a guild meeting, right?
Ha! I will happily steek it at the guild! I have actually been thinking about that because the pattern doesn’t really give me much guidance, so I could use the help, lol!
